Convert .caf to mp3

Is there a way to convert the .caf files to mp3 so I can use them in iMovie? Thanks,

afaik, some googleing tells me, those .caf files are generated by a Windows only app called Cathy, which is for cataloging data.. no audio-format => no conversion to mp3..

I open them in soundtrack Pro then do an export to aiff

Well why not tell us what you do have then we can try to help you?
For example I load my caf into Logic and then bounce (aka render or aka export) to an mp3 file.
