Pairing Motorola S9 Bluetooth Headphones with MacBook

Hello,

I have a white MacBook running Leopard 10.5.4. I just bought the Motorola S9 bluetooth wireless headphones. When I click on the bluetooth icon in my tray and try to add the device using the "Bluetooth Setup Assistant", my MacBook can never find the headphones. I've tried adding them using the "Any Device" option and I still can't find them. The headphones are turned on, my Sony Ericsson W580i can sync with them and my desktop running Vista can also sync with them.

Has anybody been able to get these headphones connected with their MacBook?

I just read your post and decided to set-up my S9 headset:

Turned on Bluetooth via toolbar
Clicked on Bluetooth logo and selected setup Bluetooth device
Set S9 Headset to discovery mode
Used Bluetooth setup assistant to do the rest (0000)

Once complete:
Opened iTunes to play a song
Clicked on Bluetooth via toolbar
Clicked on S9 and clicked “use headphones”

It worked for me following the steps above
When I mean toolbar, I’m talking about the top right corner of the screen, where the clock is

I was able to pair the headphone by turning off all the bluetooth devices in the room, my phone, my desktop, etc. Once it was just the headphones and my MacBook, I was able to sync them. I think my phone or my desktop was connecting to them at the same time which prevented them from showing up.

Later I was able to get my phone and MacBook hooked up to the headphones at the same time. It doesn't work all that great though.

I've never had problems like this with bluetooth before, but I think I have things sorted out now.
