Anyone know how I can get all my old text messages onto my new iPhone. I have a lot of sentimental messages that I don't want to lose when I give my old iPhone away!!!
From iTunes Help topic: Restoring or transferring your iPhone settings
"When you connect your iPhone to your computer, settings on your iPhone are automatically backed up to your computer. You can restore this information if you need to (if you get a new iPhone, for example, and want to transfer your previous settings to it).
Automatically backed-up information include text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, and more."
In addition to Syphone, there is also PhoneView to copy SMS messages to the computer

I managed to back up my old iPhone then erase the new one and reinstall from the old back up. Now I have all my old SMS's again... really happy about that!!
I take it you are on 02 if you are from london, sign into the website and sign up to Bluebook i think its called, and it will auto save you SMS and you can resend them to your new phone when ever you want.
I have lost my WebApps, settings, notes and my text messages. I am from Germany and my provider is T-Mobile. I have managed to reinstall the WebApps and some notes. But still I have missed my sentimental text messages. Any hints?
