How to place a ".m4r" file into iTunes?

I have a ".m4r" file on my PC that I would like to use as a ringtone. How do I put it into iTunes and use it as a ringtone?

Have you created the M4r file? if you have then make sure its not longer than 30 seconds. also delete the file which is 30 seconds long out of the Itunes music list and place the M4R file on your desktop. double click on it, it should then open in the ringtones.

Open iTunes. On the left you will see a Ringtones category. Open it. Drag the .mr4 file there. It will tell you the length of it, etc. You can then sync it into your iPhone.
