Exporting XML File Library

I do not want to use iTunes anymore and want to go back to Windows Media Player. However, a lot of my song files are in iTunes' Music Library in a XML file.
How do I send these back to Windows Media Player so that I can listen to them on that program?
This XML lingo is really confusing me.

Cody,

Your actual music files are in an AAC or MP3 format, not an XML file. The XML file is just
i data
about your songs.

If you have songs in the AAC format, then they will not be able to be played by WMP. If they are in MP3 format, then you can point WMP to the song files or move them to another directory.

Other than that, you'll need to provide more info for a more complete answer.

Not all of them are unable to be played. It's kind of weird, like I have around 375 files in My Music Folder all with artist name and the artist music files in the file. About half of these files when I open them show the MP3 file extension with the WMP icon (these, of course, will play just fine). The other half show MP3 extensions but with the XML icon and will not play with WMP but open as Internet Explorer text files.
