Entourage Error Message -39

For some reason tonight, without me making any changes on my end - Entourage on my wife's machine and my machine which both use the same Exchange server, stopped working. Both of us are getting the following error message:

Error: the end of file was reached.

Explanation: mail could not be sent

Error: -39

Any clues?
