Every app I dlownload on iTouch isn't working!

I downloaded AIM, Myspace, Facebook, and NYTimes free apps. Each one downloaded...I touch to open them, and the screen shows its opening the app, and then it goes back to the Home Screen. I even made sure to purchase an app the Brain Game--and that is doing the same thing. Anyone else having this problem??

I contacted apple thru "Report a Problem" in my orders---and all I got was a few links to this forum and no real answer to the issue at all!!
