Mixer window for garageband

I use Garageband 4 (08) all the time - fantastic application. Wouldn't it be infintely better if it had a real 'mixer' window, though? One with vertical faders for each track, like in most other audio applications. Mixing horizontally with the track volume controls can be really annoying.

Maybe this is something Apple will include in future versions.

In the meantime, does anyone know of any plugins that will give Garageband a 'mixer window' functionality??
