I've have my iPhone for three days now. I've tried several times to charge my iPhone but it will not charge. When I plug it in to the wall socket with the adapter it appears the lightnight bolt icon on the battery. I left it plugged in for the whole night and when I woke up nothing had happened.
Yesterday I plugged it to my MBP and then put it to sleep (the MBP) and left it again for the whole night. Today what I see is that not only it didn't charge, but the battery charge has dropped to almost zero.
It sounds like you have a faulty charger. Take the charger to an Apple Store or call Apple for a mail in exchange. It is under the same warranty as the iphone.
Ok, thanks! I just hope that's it, because I've just tried to use my iPod USB cable with the AC adapter and it appears the socket sign which means it's not charging. Also I've noticed that with the computer and the iPhone cable it appears the lightning bolt but after a while, (when it's still not charged) the socket symbol appears.
