Unable to chown file owner to 'system'

Unable to chown file owner to 'system'

sudo chown -R system:wheel /somefile.jpg

This always results in an 'Invalid argument'. I'm assuming because Leopard is only allowing me to use Account names, but then how do we go about setting file ownership to the system???

Help pwease

it should be root not system. also you don't need -R option when doing chown on a file. -R is a recursive option for changing ownership on a directory and everything in it.

sudo chown root:wheel path/to/file
