Error -108

Error -108

I'm trying to encode Qt's that are currently DVCPRO HD codec into Avid Meridian uncompressed. I done a few and they look ok, however on others I'm getting the following error codes and they are failing.

Quicktime error - 108
Quicktime error - 2

I'm not running any other apps and the original files are not open anywhere. And I'm not out of disk space.
Anyone got any ideas?

G4 powerbook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

How much free space do you have on your hard drives?

1.3T of space available on the drive I have set to be the destination.
513GB on my Internal Raid drives and 273GB on my desktop.

So dont think it's a space issue. Although thats what I'm hearing this error is. (quicktime error -2)
I've also tried to another external to see if maybe it was a drive issue, but it didnt like that either.
