Borders around the screen -> normal or not ??

Hi everybody

I just had two bugs this afternoon. A kinda white border around the screen jumped to my eyes suddently on my iPhone 3G (I have it now for 5 days). I put it to sleep and then powered it on again, no way. I then restarted it ; the border is still here but in black now. Then I put it to sleep again and when I powered it on once more, white screen... I restarted it : everything is okay but that black border between the real screen and the black plastic still remains. I had that white screen bug a second time a little later, and had a lot of difficulties to start it again after having it shut down.
I add that I took the greatest care of that phone, and did nothing noticable on it just before these bugs. Also, I did a reinizialisation of the settings and the main screen, but nothing changed.
Two questions :
- Do you guys have also that black border around your screen, between the plastic and the real screen (about 1mm bold) ??
- What could be that white screen bug and how to handle it ??

I'd like to make the most of that message by asking you that other question I have, which has nothing to do with these bugs :
- My iPhone is sometimes a little slow, which is annoying especially while typing a text message. What could I do to remain to these slownesses ??

Thank you very much for your responses,

Okay thank you very much neuroanatomist for you quick answer ! I was indeed in the direct sunlight when I saw that border... Now I can't stop myself to stare at it ^^ but I'll do with it of course, the iPhone 3G is so fabulous 🙂
For the typing lag I'll wait then till the next update (which should also have a full GPS usage right ? :))
If I have again that white screen bug I'll post here again 😉
Thank you very much again and have nice day !!
