Barcode font installation in Classic

I have some code 39 barcode fonts from IDautomation.com to install in Classic.
The application that I need to use them in is Classic only. I dragged the
Mac Truetype font "font.mtt"
file into the Classic SYstem folder->fonts and they appear there but they do not
appear in the font menu in Classic applications. They work fine in OSX applications
when installed in OSX. I have restarted Classic and the computer numerous times.

Can anyone help?

Are they Macintosh formatted MTT TrueType fonts that you've got?

You'll need to create a new font suitcase as described in a search of Classic Help center "installing fonts" - search

Hi,

I'm sorry those instructions were for Mac OS 9.

What you did should work fine. Quit the Classic App. and try again.

Try also 'fix Mac OS 9 permissions' from the File menu in Disk utility.

Yes, the fonts are supposedly .mtt which is supposed to be Mac True Type.
Font Book did not show the fonts in the Classic OS though they appear in the Font folder within the Classic System. They showed in "Classic" but not the MAC Classic OS collection window in Font Book. When I moved them into the Classic OS collection in Font Book they then showed as duplicates under Classic in Font Book. I tried repairing permissions, restarting Classic and the applications but they still do not show up in any Classic Application font menu.
