Keychain forgetting passwords for mail accounts

Same thing happened to me.
As soon as I had set up my mac to sync to MobileMess all my Mail passwords went bye-bye.
Now every time I open Mail I have to enter 12 passwords since I have 12 accounts.
Not just annoying - darn irritating I would say!

Does anyone know what to do?

This just started for me yesterday--and I've made no changes to account settings and I don't have a MobileMe account. Mail takes the account offline until I enter the password (or I click on the lightning bolt to put it back online). Weird.

Looks like Comcast and Apple are just pointing fingers at each other. My Mail is version 3.3(926.1/926) for what it's worth.

Yes.. that is the same version I am using... This morning since I have Office 2004 I've switched to using Entourage with the same Comcast account and the others mail accounts and so far have had no problems with Entourage and paswords... hmmm

I don't have Office or Entourage, just Mail. Bizarre.

I've been having the same problem with all 4 of my Comcast accounts using MacMail. I have been in touch with Comcast, and they tell me it's a Mac problem (of course). I think this all DID begin when my .mac converted to MobileMe. I've done everything I know to do with my passwords in the keychain and it's still requiring me to enter a new password, etc. This is VERY annoying. Has apple addressed this issue at all.....anywhere?

Well what can tell you about Mail and Entourage,... Mail seems to be better integrated with OS X, and other Mac programs and since it is included with OS X - It Is Free!

To me Entourage has more the feel of MS Outlook so if you were a Win.. user you would most likely prefer it more. Entourage does have some sync services, ie: contact, iCal events, and notes with .mac, so I guess .me would also work, I don't use .mac/.me so someone else would have to fill you in there... this is my .02 worth.

This Problem is Starting again! Ever since the last iPhone, iTunes, etc. update, a couple of days ago... I don't use iPhone.... so must be something that Apple is doing... ????

I hate to say it But I'm back to using Entourage again!.... Come on Apple people... What's UP with this???
