apps don't show up in iTunes but do on iPhone

when I installed apps, free and paid, then I sync iPhone with mac and the only app that shows up is AIM. None of the other ones are on my apps panel/list--no matter how many times I connect iPhone and mac.

Yes. It is. Isn't that strange? And this is funny: on my old phone I had downloaded some apps, so when I knew I was getting the new phone I made sure to sync my phone. Then when I came home to sync my new phone, I noticed that the apps were not in the apps folder in iTunes yet my new iPhone picked up the apps that I had on the old phone.

Yes, you can actually try to reinstall right from the iPhone and it knows that you have already purchased it and will just have you install it again.

But it'd be nice to know why they aren't listed in my apps panel of iTunes. I looked at my sons and all his apps are listed. Mine just has AIM, that's it, yet I have about 10 apps.

For the record, I'm having the exact same problem. There are at least 5 apps that I have purchased and/or downloaded for free that do not show up in my app list in iTunes. They do however show up in the app checklist.

I've also noticed that software updates do not seem to work predictably for iPhone apps; my phone tells me I have 10 apps that need updating, while iTunes says I only have 3 that need it. And despite downloading the updates in iTunes several times, the iPhone still tells me that these apps need to be updated.

AFAIK I am running all current software as of today. These have got to be bugs, right?

Thanks,

yes I have manually clicked on download purchases in the iTunes store and it will say I have completed the purchases. I check iPhone and even resync it but it will still have 4 app updates.

As sorry as I am that you are having the same problem, it is good to know it is not my iphone or my iTunes, etc. This tells me it is yet another bug along with the lagging text and automatic delete key after touching it once. And it seems I have all the bugs so it must be an apple plague. LOL

I know the "simple" procedure of downloading apps through iPhone. I have done it a lot and never had to go on my computer in iTunes to do it. But when they started coming out with updates for apps, my trounles began.

So it seems to definitely be a nasty update bug.

Now, when I sync iPhone, iTunes tells me one or more apps couldn't be installed (even though the apps are already on my iPhone) and it even gives me an error message now:
For each app it says "this application was not installed on the iPhone "Apple's iPhone" (is there another iphone? out there? maybe the iClone in China LOL) but anyway, that's what the message says, and it continues, "because an unknown error occurred (0xE800002E).

It shows the same error for all the apps that supposedly weren't installed.

Anyone know anything about that specific error?

Ya, same issue I had...you click the HELP link after that message and it gives you a list of solutions to try.

Only one that worked for me was deleting the application from the phone and re-downloading it for free. You lose any scores and such for the games that was stored locally.

The issue I have now is that I cannot get my iphone and iTunes to match the applications correctly. I have apps on my iphone that do not show in iTunes...I have tried transfer purchases, but it doesn't help.

Ugggg...painful
