I seem to have got rid of the error. O2 suggested resetting the network settings. This seemed to work although it should be noted that I also declined the connection to my wifi network after the restart. My wifi currently has no Internet connection so maybe this was the cause of the intermitent error before. Also the phone has been restarted.

Now I have incredible typing lag for some reason...

ok I'm fairly sure that the error is caused by wifi which has no Internet connection. I use it for wireless audio and printing. Disconnecting allows me to get reliable web access on the iPhone via gprs which is still faster than my dial up.. Obviously I can't then use the remote app which was one of the attractions for me.

Apple, why must you taunt us with unattainable greatness?

(This keyboard lag is still doing my head in)

here's the deal. I have the same issue using Safari, Firefox, and Omniweb. Not using a wifi connection, and for me it seems to only be choking when I try to visit godaddy.com. I am able to confirm that their site is not down. So I'm starting to think that it's a system problem. When you google "kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302 Solutions" people are having the same problem with different browsers and sites. The only common denominator is OS X.

This is becoming a major problem.

For the last 2 nights I have been unable to view any web pages (except Google) from approw 10-11.30pm which is when I give up and go to bed.

This has been happening for weeks now but has steadily got worse.

I am not using WiFi so it has nothing to do with that.

O2 don't know what it is, but they can't even help with the basic functions of the iphone.

There must be someone out there that knows exactly what this problem is.

I'm also having this problem trying to access http://www.mmo-chamption.com from both Safari 3.1.2 and Firefox 3.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.5.5. This worked fine before, but not sure what changed (and when) that caused it not to work any more. I can access other sites just fine.

I'm set up with O2 Broadband in the UK, and am using a double-NAT network solution to get to the internet (Public -> O2 Router -> AirPort Extreme -> laptop) and I don't have problems with other sites.

Google search yields little help. I'm surprised Apple hasn't pin-pointed the problem. It's clearly with Mac OS X and some variable on the host site. I also have a Windows PC that can access the sites just fine on the same network. So I don't think it's my network. I have some complex port forwarding that works on my network, so it's design should not be a factor.

Edit: I use Leopard, own an iPhone 3G and have iTunes 8 and iPhone 2.1 software installed. Could this be the common denominator beyond 'Mac OS X' ?

Guys,

I'm having the same problem. But this might shed some light on the issue. While trying to reply to this post I got this message.

------------
Request Timeout

The server timed out while waiting for the browser's request.
Reference #2.442813c2.1223834656.0
------------

The issue the way I see it, is OS X on my laptop that stop communication with the server, and not the other way around.

I'm on OS X 10.5.5, MacBook Pro

I'm getting the kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302 Solutions error, very often like 50% of the time.

I got a MacBook, a Vista computer and 2 Windows XP computers. Non of them get this error. So it has to be related to my computer.

I;ve tried to restart the router, TCP/IP and restart of Safari and OS X. Nothing works.

---------------

I now have to stop using this laptop as it is prohibiting me from doing my work efficiently.

I hope Apple can find a fix for this.. now...

I came across the same error today while developing a site locally using MAMP. I removed code bit by bit from my script to find the culprit.

In my case, it was a call to the Text Link Ads network, which would not work because I had not created the necessary XML file. Removing the call to TLA resolved the error.

So, seems that Safari chokes when it comes across an error. Please note that the same issue occurred with Firefox, so its not only Safari.
