AAAAAAAAAAirport! PCMCIA????

I have the 17" 1.5ghz powerbook. An original Airport card fits just fine into the PCMCIA slot on the side, but I can't pick up anything!

Aren't you supposed to connect the antenna with a little wire?

Pwnd: I assume what you meant to say both times was that you have a 15" Albook. An original Airport card may fit into the CardBus slot, but it isn't designed to go there or to be used with any Aluminum Powerbook, and an Albook's antenna lead is nowhere near the CardBus slot. You need to buy either an Airport Extreme card that will fit the special slot designed for it inside your computer, or a third-party wireless card that's designed for your CardBus slot and has its own antenna, built-in or external.
