Question

Cannot connect iphone to my computer

I just got my iPhone 3G. However, my computer cannot recognize my iPhone, which prohibit sync content with my iTunes. Do any one know how to fix the problem? I've tried to search via Internet for 1 week, and still have no ideas about it.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and see if that helps. Also make sure that you are using a USB 2.0 port on your computer.

Thank you for your suggestions. I found the same message from iTunes asking me to uninstall and reinstall. I have done this action for twice. However, iPhone still does not show up in my computer. I have checked my computer, "Apple Mobile Device" is missing. I also tried to do an analysis, no iPhone is detected. However, it sounds strange that my iPhone camera can connect with my PC. I have no ideas what the problem is...It is much appreciated if anyone can help. I have been mad about it for a week...

Does your computer have USB 2.0 ports? The iPhone is not compatible with older computers or notebooks that use USB 1.1 ports.

Your iPhone won't connect without Apple Mobile Device. It should have been installed along with iTunes. This article may help you: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567?viewlocale=en_US
