With the upgrade to the new iTunes, many of my podcasts are not loading to my iPod. They appear to be saving through iTunes, but cannot be found once I look on the iPod itself, not in podcasts or anywhere else. This seems to be the case with all video podacsts but also some regular podcasts.
I just recently upgraded to iTunes v. 7.7.0.43 (mistake!)Now when I attempt to drag a podcast from iTunes to my Nano, the status bar says it is loading, but it is not anywhere to be found on my Nano. Sweet Jesus! I know that iTunes is a cluncky program, but this is a bit too much. Does anyone have any suggestions about this? It seems to be a random occurance in that some podcasts will load onto my nano, but others just don't. And then of course, as far as I can figure, the program thinks the podcast has already loaded onto the Nano and there is no way that I can figure out how to get the podcast (which is in iTunes)to load into my Nano.
Apple...please don't force these silly updates on us if they are going to make this process so unworkable.
highlight the podcast and (jeez, right click or go to one of the menus at the top of the screen. sorry, i don't remember) and select "convert selection for ipod". i think that is what it says.
sorry for the lack of specifics. essentially, the podcasts are intended for use on your computer and you need to change their format for ipod
Apparently podcasts have default setting so they are not shuffled. Left click the podcast you want to load -> get info ->options-> uncheck skip when shuffling and you should be set to load and play your podcasts on your iPOD. Its good of Apple to provide this info & not wait for their users to sort these problems out!
I've had the same issues on some of my podcasts not syncing to my 80g classic they are in my itunes podcasts folder but they don't sync to my ipod

Perhaps the Sync options for Podcasts have been changed by an update. When you connect your iPod to the computer, check on the Podcasts tab (of the device/iPod) and make sure the Sync options are set to your choice. There are several!
