Black Vertical Lines On Macbook Pro Display

I bought a new 15.4 inch Macbook Pro about a month and a half ago and started seeing black vertical columns displaying statically on my display. They had no idea what it was.

So here I am about 1 month later with the new laptop and it's starting to happen all over again. I can usually get the screen to go back to normal after rebooting and it will be fine for a few days and then it starts all over again.

Any ideas of what could be going wrong and any advice on what I should expect apple to do about it would be highly appreciated. I really don't want to have them replace a second time only for this to happen again.
