I am unable to choose the Restore option as the Device option does not appear on the iTunes source menu (when the iPod has been connected in either USB port. Sometimes the following message appears: "Preparing iPod for recovery: ITunes needs to prepare your iPod for recovery. Please leave your iPod connected. Continue/Cancel". I have lost count of the times I have clicked Continue only for the same message to appear some time later. I am about to stamp on it and go back to my CD player! Any suggestions gratefully received!
