I'm not sure if it works for you on your Mac,
but in the Print choice under File in the Menu,
that Print selection (in mine) says "Fax PDF"
under the PDF item with toggle triangle by it.

So, I don't know if that means you can Fax
a PDF you make (instead of printing) or if
that can send - any - PDF.

But, that exists in Tiger, in the Print section
of open applications... the ones I've checked.

Have you tried that, and if so, what does it do?

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

there might be a freeware out there on macupdate.com or similar that will allow you to do what you are trying to do. QuicKeys X, an $80 shareware, may do what you want. I don't think that Sys Prefs keyboard&mouse keyboard shortcuts panel will let you set up a shortcut to the keyboard sequence of ⌘p, button-click PDF in print dialog panel, and select "fax PDF" in pull-down menu.
