burn tv shows purchased from itunes onto dvrs?

Hello,
I purchased an entire season of a tv show on itunes for $24 and now I want to be able to burn them onto a dvd so that I can watch them on my TV....is this possible? I tried using imovie and idvd, and the only files you can import are the files from the movie list on itunes...can't import any tv shows....even tried dragging and dropping, tried copying and pasting...do I need to download a program to help me? HELP...can't watch these shows on my tiny computer screen!

If you can burn purchased songs from itunes onto CDs, then why can't you burn movies or tv shows purchased from itunes onto DVDs?

Because the rights Apple got from the copyright holders are different for music and video content; most of the songs available from the iTunes Store can be purchased on CDs in an unprotected form, but very few, if any, of the movies and TV shows are available on unprotected DVDs. The iTunes Store DRM is not preserved for content burned to an audio or video disk, but is for content burned to a data CD or DVD, which isn't usable on a TV or standalone player.

Ok, fair enough. Is there any way possible that I can watch these shows on my TV, without the image being distorted? (I have a dvi(?) cable that allows me to plug my Macbook into the TV and use the TV as a monitor, but it seems to just enlarge, stretch, and blur everything)

I just want to watch the shows on a bigger screen.

That has to do with the video resolution of the file itself. No way around that.

For the sum of $229 you can have your very own TV.

This is my solution and it works very well for personal entertainment using my 37 LCD and Denon AVR with Bose speakers.

You can burn the files onto a data DVD for backup purposes, but the result will not be playable on anything other than your computer.

I had the same problem i got around it buy purchasing a universal dock 3 with remote and a component xable pack both from apple these give great picture quality and cost around a $100 US. Hope it helps.
