Photo Booth too big...

I'm a new mac user, (3 days!) when I load photobooth I can't see the thumbnails at the bottom. On windows I'd just drag to make it smaller - how do I do this on mac?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

G'day...

Unfortunately, the Photo Booth app is one of the few that does not have a resizable window. Presumably it is being obscured by your Dock??

You can set your Dock to "hide" except for when you move the mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen. Just go to the Apple menu -> Dock -> Turn Hiding On.

That will free up some screen space for your Photo Booth!

Cheers,

Rodney

What screen resolution are you running? System Preferences > Displays.
Selecting a larger resolution will make all application windows smaller, which might give you a chance to see the bottom of PhotoBooth, but on the other hand that may not suit you for normal usage. But it may be a temporary workaround if you just want to take a few snaps, and then return to your previous display resolution.

I have iMac G5, 2.1 GHz, OSX 10.5.4. My Photo Booth was working fine until I upgrade Photo Booth to 2.0.2 and security update through Software Update. Now Photo Booth does not find built-in camera. I can open photo booth but can't take picture. On bottom I still have photo frames taken earlier. Main screen of Photo Booth is black with a video camera icon with one cross line. What should I do? Please help me.

I did not know there was a PhotoBooth upgrade. I thought Leopard just had version 2.02 and that was it.

Anyway when something goes wrong, one wishes things were the way they were previously. Wishing aside, this is possible by restoring something from a backup, or in this case reinstalling the application from your Install DVD.

If you have Time Machine, you can locate the older version, select it and choose Restore.

It would also be possible to reinstall the older (if it does indeed exist) version of PhotoBooth from your Install DVD using Pacifist.

And to avoid any problems in using it, read the documentation here:
