Change background of UIButton with rounded edges

Currently, if I use a UIButton background image to change the back, the button's rounded edges go away. How do I keep them? Or even better, how do I change the background color of the entire button without an image. I was not able to do this in InterfaceBuilder. All I was able to do was change the 4 corners background. Anyone have the same problem?

Hi guys - I am in need of the same thing. I had been looking at the ButtonsViewController and see how it works now. My question though is what's the best way to make those images? The ones in UICatalog have a gradient and are glossy. Being severely artistically challenged, I have no idea how to make these.

Is there a standard Apple tool or SDK API that can be used to produce the colored glossygradiated background images?

Thanks,
Jim
