Does the 2.01 Update and Apps work for anyone?

Some have had problems, others (like me) have not. I don't really know what to recommend!

Here's my 2 cents.

I did the original 7.7-2.0 update 3 weeks ago w/o problem but i lost outlook syncs like everyone else with the change.

When 2.0.1 came out I did the 7.7.1 -2.0.1 update thru the iTunes popup reminder.

During the 7.7.1 install, the system crashed...bad. I couldn't restart not even in safe mode. Had to do a system restore to an earlier point which left me with 7.6. I then did the 2.0.1 update which went fine but still left me w/o outlook sync. Rather than go thru the itunes update to 7.7.1 again, I downloaded 7.7.1 from apple and did the install.

Phew....it worked...now I'm back to NORMAL....rapid syncs, outlook calender and contacts sync normally, apps download and work.

I only have a couple of apps from the store and they work fine, in fact maybe even better than before: one's a game and I got a much higher score than I've ever gotten even from the regular desktop version which I've had for a couple of years. The other is the Apple Remote app for iTunes, and it works just fine as far as I can tell (I don't use it that much right now).

All apps work fine on my IPT with 2.0.1 except Where but it can't locate me like Google maps...thats been consistent since firmware 1.1.4. Don't know whats up with that. BUT all other apps work great. I have cromag rally, aol radio, pandora, solitair, hangman, marble mash and a few others. They all work fine....none have ever crashed. I am also impressed how fast 3D things like cromag load and run with pretty good frame rates.

I cannot understand the inconsistency in success or failure with the firmware upgrades. Seems like more windows folks are having issues but that just speculation on my part.

Uh, yeah, no problems here whatsoever. Upgraded to 2.01, still have the apps, got new apps, all apps work, the iPod touch works, no issues.
