error 1429 trying to import iMovie HD 06 project into iMovie 08

I have a large existing project that i am trying to import into the newly installed iMovie 08. I keep getting the following error:
This file could not be copied:

/Users/Colin/Movies/China 2008.iMovieProject/Media/Clip 58.dv

( Error code: -1429 )

Can anyone assist with this?
thanks
Colin

unfortunately, I don't have access to my mile-long-yellow-stickie with error codes, but as far as I remember, that ec stands for 'bad disk sector' .. kinda .. which means, worst case, the file is corrupted, gone, kaputt 😟

when you try to open that specific clip with QuicktimePlayer app..- does it open, or do you get the same cryptic error code...?

Hi
I have the file imported. I think it was because of available space on the hard drive.
But i had been working on the project for a while and had most of the movie edited; however I can only get the raw unedited video clips into iMovie; I cant seem to get the actual project imported.....do i have to start again?

thanks Colin
