App name with spaces or punctuation?

The display name doesn't have to be the same as the product name; that's just a default in Xcode. You can change it in your Info.plist.

you need to be careful with the bundle identifier

that cannot have spaces and strange characters,
only alphanumerical and "-"

also the zip file cannot have spaces inthe name

any of these will throw an error when you try to upload your binary thru itunesconnect
(but no so if you fo it thru application loader, in this case if there is anything wrong you will be noticed later, in my case one day later...)
