Hiya Michael.

The album name must be identical for all the tracks in order to preserve the order. Select all the tracks and then right click to choose "get info". Enter the album name in the popup, but change nothing else as it will be changed on every single track you chose.

This should make things right for you. If not, there are a few other fields that need to be the same, but I'll let you try this first 😉

Let's do the other parts now that we know the album name is the same.

First: in the library view if you click the column heading for "album", does that fix the order?

If not, select them all again and check the following boxes so they are all made identical:
*on the item that reads "Track [] of []", the second box needs a check, then either leave it blank or enter the total tracks.
*on the item that reads "Disc [] of []", the second box needs a check, then either leave it blank or enter the total discs in the album.
*is this an album where the artist changes from track to track? If so, sorting by artist will, naturally, lead to the album being out of order. A good example would be the CDs by Santana where every track is "featuring" someone.
