Why won't Logic let me bounce the Metronome?

You need a click track as an Audio file? Just load a software instrument and select Klopfgeist as your
instrument, select the click you want ( I prefer the hard tick) Open the piano roll and draw in as many or a few clicks as you want per bar and copy out as needed. Then just export the track as an Audio file. Done.

It can.

It will bounce the metronome if you use REAL TIME BOUNCE, but not if you use OFFLINE Bounce.

A bug.

I just did it, worked fine, I got a solo click after bouncing....but won't work in OFFLINE BOUNCE mode.

Did you assign the click somewhere funny?

Again, I did it moments ago with no problem..

Kim I know this must be frustrating, but it does work, and that's been confirmed not only by myself but others in the other Logic forum who were asking why they couldn't hear the click in their bounce. They all chose "REALTIME BOUNCE" and it worked. So something is different in your setup, I'm not sure what it is. My main outs are 1-2, I bounce to WAV, 16 bit, other than that I can't think of anything odd that I do. I actually did it by soloing a track with nothing on it, turning on the click, and doing a realtime bounce. The resulting file was a click. I'm using the MPC click, for what it's worth. Logic 8.02, System 10.5.4 (but it's been working like this for several systems now). The click is assigned to 1-2. Make sure of course, that you have "Click while playing" chosen. If I think of anything else I'll chime back in....

Well that's interesting. I was able to bounce the Metronome from outs 1-2 but with outs 3-4 I get a silent file. Even if I open up the environment window and bounce from the 3-4 fader I get the silent file. I was using outs 3-4 when I tried it originally. I figured the feature was no longer working, but yes
it does work for me from outs 1-2.
