I understand how to do a soft reset on my Airport Express, but I have used just about everything around my house (paperclip, pushpin, safety pin, bobby pin, ball point pen and a nail) and I can't think of what else to do. No matter how long or hard I press the reset button in, the light never changes indicating reset mode. I forgot my password and have no way of logging in. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

Try unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Can you access it with Airport Utility without the password?

The AE must be plugged into AC power for the hard reset to function. Use a paper clip or a small pin punch and press button (the recessed button, not the matching cosmetic spot) for about 5 seconds until amber light starts blinking.

It may take awhile to show up in airport utility as a "default mode" unit.
