Finger Tingling/Burning after usage

Does the Iphone create a wave field above the touch screen in order to make the `touch' screen work? I know that my hands are sensitive but I can only work on the Iphone 3G for a few minutes and I get the tingling sensation. Any ideas on what to do other than stop using the phone.

Well the iPhone's touch screen works by sensing the electric charge on your finger tips, but it is so small that you should not be feeling anything. Maybe you just have more charge in you.

YOU shouldn't be feeling anything -- there is no charge transmitted from the phone to your finger.

Have you tried someone else's iPHone for a similar amount of time? Really, you shouldn't be feeling anything.

You do have a stylus option -- they are expensive, and you need special ones designed for the iPhone, since normal PDA styli do not work with the iPhone....do a search of this forum for stylus and you will get a list of places to purchase one.

I can confirm the same tingling sensation in my cheek while talking on the iPhone while it is plugged into AC power. After about 5-10 minutes on the phone, I begin to feel a slightly-uncomfortable shocking sensation in my cheek where it seems to be contacting the metal exterior edge of the phone. If I immediately unplug the phone from the charger, the tingling sensation stops instantly.

I'm curious if it's my charger, or just a strange fault of the phone in general? Perhaps mine is broken.
