using xerox documate 510 scanner with mac mini

No drivers available on web for mac. I have searched in discussion board and seen posts for Vuescan. I have downloaded this software, but my mac mini doesn't recognize my scanner. Any help would be great. Thank you

mini mac, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I think you may be out of luck for now. I'd recommend emailing Ed Hamrick, who is the guy behind VueScan, and see if there is any possibility of Mac support for the 510. Apparently VueScan does support other Documate models.

I suspect the lack of Mac support in Vuescan is due to Xerox using an undocumented programming interface.

Thank you. I just emailed him. We will see.....My be in the market for a new scanner...

I'd corresponded with Ed Hamrick about this about two years ago. There's no driver. I was able to get it working on my Intel Mac at work by installing Windows 98 in VirtualBox & setting up USB port forwarding. Kind of a pain, but it works.
