Database Connection EDL Issues

Hello, I am the assistant editor on a Super 16mm feature film and need more information about the database used in CT. My understanding is FCP and the CT database correlate when creating an edl for film cutting. The clips have been batch telecined to 23.98 through CT, but no database created at the start.

I have been brought in at the end to save the day and get our edl back on track, among other things. Is there an easy workaround for generating an edl with my current sequence?

We are on a G5 dual intel processor with all current FCP studio software.

Any help would be great, crunch time.
