How to Use iSync - the Fundamentals

Is there a basic user guide that will help me understand "strategies" on how to use iSync?

I have
1-MacBook Pro
2-iMacs
1-iPod Touch

and would like to understand (maybe a flow or picture) how to best use this feature.

Is there (or should there be) a "primary" reference machine?

iSync is for syncing Contacts and Calendars to third-party mobile phones and PDAs. It won't help with any of the devices you want to sync.

If you are syncing between Macs, you will be using *MobileMe Sync*. The forum for that is here:

If you are syncing to an iPod touch, you will be using iTunes (to sync music, video, photos etc.) or MobileMe (for syncing Contacts, Calendars and Email wirelessly). The forum for that is here:
