Can you delete drop zones?

I only want to use 1 out of 3 drop zones on a image for iDVD..is there a way to delete the other two? Otherwise, then the DVD plays, it shows the drop zone but it is blank...

Try this link and let me know how it works for you:

(it's the second free vodeo under "Previews"). Worth checking out I think.

It is under 5.0 themes...

... and the theme name is 'Memories'.

It's not easy to modify this theme unless you are very 'computer savvy'.

Do a Google search for 'modify iDVD themes' (without the ' marks). One such page you will find is Questions Answered 2: Customizing iDVD Themes at http://macdvdpro.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=67633 but there are many more.

In addition, Dave Nagel has written several excellent tutorials on modifying iDVD themes. Do a Google search for 'modify iDVD themes dave nagel' (without the ' marks).

I'm on an entirely different startup volume at the moment (that has FCPHD > DVDSP, and iMovie6 > iDvd6 and Not iDvd08) BUT I will gladly test a similar approach for iDvd'08 and post back later if you wish. I'm simply wondering if it's possible to do likewise in iDvd'08 with the exception of dropping it onto the theme as opposed to the menu button. I can't test this myself right now ..... but you may want to try it yourself and post back.

There is a change between iDVD 6 and iDVD 7 obviously.

In iDVD 7, clicking off the 'Show drop zones and related graphics' box is all you need to do. You don't need to change the background image. You will still seem the border of the drop zones on playback.

HOWEVER, the original poster wanted to keep the first drop zone and eliminate the other two so this approach doesn't meet her needs; it's 'all or nothing'.
