I submitted an app to the App Store and they asked me to make some changes (it was a "demo" version which apparently is not allowed) and upload a new binary using iTunes Connect. However on iTunes Connect you can only change the metadata, large icon and screenshots, but there is no way to upload a revised binary. I suppose I could resubmit as a new application, but then I will need to rebuild my code with a new bundle identifier which is kind of stupid, though possible, and also the new submission would probably come in at the end of the App Store review queue instead of being associated with my old submission. Anyone had a similar problem and can suggest anything? I think in the meantime I will put the new binary on my website and mail devprograms the link, will update later if it worked.
You'll be able to upload your binary if you use Application Loader. There is a link to download Application Loader at the bottom of "Manage Your Applications" section.
Not to jump and rob this thread...I am experience the same issue. My app is pending review for an update in iTunes connect but Application Loader does not seem to think that I have an application. I have entered my information in that program 10 times over and it still claims that I have no applications. Has anyone had this issue?
Well, here's a small update. I emailed devprograms telling them about this problem and that I'd left the binary of my app on my webpage. This afternoon I logged in to iTunesConnect again and this time there was a link to re-upload the binary. Apparently my app had been marked "In Review" which was why I couldn't upload a revised binary, but once it changed to "Rejected" the link to re-upload appeared. I also got a short time later an email from the support person who said he had noticed the problem and fixed it.
