Will a Mac Pro boot without a monitor attached?

I would like to save the cost of a monitor by connecting only by VNC from my PowerBook.

PowerBook G4 1.25 GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Yes , Mac Pro boots without any problems when monitor is not attached.
