Ipod Product replcement Request

Has anyone had a good experience with Battery replacement ? I sent my Ipod in and my repair has been pending since June 20. That is 6 weekd ago! Does that mean that I will not get it back? Anyone else have the same kind of service?

Powermac G5 1.6, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

I have good experience buying my battery on eBay and replacing it myself.

Who did you send it to? Why can't you just ask for status of repair?

I did check status of the repair. It is pending since June 20. Doesn't that seem like a long time?

I sent it to Apple repair which indicated that they will send an ipod to replace mine as soon as they receive mine. That was June 20. This is Apple Certified exchange program!

Uh... if they failed to receive something that you were responsible for shipping to them, wouldn't that almost certainly be your fault?

Ipod was shipped with a tracking number. It was apparently received according to the apple website unless I am reading it incorrectly.

Step 1 - Request
Product received (20-Jun-2008)

Step 2 - Service
Issue identified (20-Jun-2008)

Step 3 - Return
Product replacement pending (20-Jun-2008) product replacement site.

I don't know who to contact though as there is no direct link.

It seems like a long wait.............

That page is confusing. For instance, where would support for an ipod replacement request belong? In Applecare support? Itunes store? there truly is no category to follow up on repair status.

Try the 800 number under "Phone." I'm sure it will eventually lead to a real person. You won't get anywhere asking for epair status on the user discussion forum.
