No pictures when playing movies, only sound

I uploaded my iweb pages to the Site folder and the tried to view it from other computers. Some of the pages contain avi movie. But when I tried to view the page by safari or IE, the moive played with sound only, video became a white screen or still pic all the way.

What wrong with it? iWeb problem? movie format problem?
