Probably a stupide question, but have recently started cutting on FCP from AVID bg. I have cut a sequence into a new sequence and want to reveal the original edits. I realize I should have done this differently at the onset but am a fair ways into this project.
If you double click the nest, it's sequence will open. Any changes to that sequence will be reflected in the nest. OR you can copy the clips from that sequence to your working sequence and effectively un-nest them that way.
Yes, that opens the original sequence, but I want to see the edits I have done from that sequence in my new nested sequence, ie reveal the original source material within the new sequence not the nest itself.
Not really (laugh) but if you want you can do the second option Jerry mentioned which is to copy the edits out of the nested sequence and paste in the other sequence.
