Auto Equalizer Configs?

Just wondering if there is a way to have the equalizer automatically adjust itself to the genre of the song that is being played especially when using the Party Shuffle.

Any ideas or thoughts?

You can assign an EQ setting to each song. For example, select all the songs of genre 'xyz', Get Info, and apply the desired EQ to all songs in one shot. Repeat as desired for other genres.

In iPods, the EQ loaded into a song is used over any EQ setting in the player. So at the next synch operation, the EQ settings should load in as desired. I believe this is also limited to the iTunes pre-defined set of EQ presets.

True, but also, the iPod's EQ must be turned on. By that, I mean that the EQ must be set to anything except for "Off". Setting it to "Flat" works best, because "Flat" is equivalent to "Off" without actually being "Off".

That way, no EQ is applied normally, but if you have per-song EQ's set, they will be used instead of the "Flat" setting.
