What happened to Handwriting - Dakota?

Ok, so I've been using a font called Handwriting - Dakota to make logos for my churches website. Well I reformatted my macbook today and for some reason the font is not on the laptop anymore. I know I never installed any extra fonts on my own, so I can't figure out where the font came from previously if it didn't come with OS X. I've done some searching and people seem to say that it does indeed come with OS X, but I assure you it is not on my laptop. Anyone have any idea why it wouldn't have installed when I reformatted? And yes I did make sure to choose to have the additional fonts installed in the customize option during the install process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I found it in my MBP's /Library/Fonts folder, which should mean it is part of the standard set of fonts included with the system. However, since I had migrated stuff from my previous PBG4 using Migration Assistant, it may have been placed there as a sort of inheritance from the older system. This is what Font Book (which is the "official" way of managing your fonts) has to say about it:

Welcome to the Apple forums:
It came with OS-X and it's on my machine, I just checked.
Is this the only font you are missing?
It's between Haettenschweiler and Harrington in English fonts
When you open the Font window, and select All, is it there?
Maybe you had it in favorites and it only disappeared from there?
if you run the Font Book.app does it show up there?
If you select User in the Font Book it is not there. It's there in the English part.

I don't think it comes with OS X, as one can check from the Apple list:

It's on my machine. It either came with Tiger or Leopard, or as you note, iLife. I have iLife06.

You can download it free using the following great font site:

I hope this helps.
