driver setup.exe not found

driver setup.exe not found

I have used Boot camp to install Windows Vista and I cannot install any Mac drivers. When I put in the install disc it shows it is empty. There is no setup.exe program at all. I put it in when Mac was open and the programs are there. I am running Mac OS X v10.5.4 but my install disc is Mc OS v 10.4.10

I really need some help with this. I have several Windows programs I need to install but I need access to the internet to validate them and my wireless is not available nor many other devices.

I am running Mac OS X v10.5.4 but my install disc is Mc OS v 10.4.10

You need to have a Mac OS X 10.5 DVD to get the drivers.

How did you get OSX 10.5.x Leopard on your MacBook, when your (only ?) installation disc is OSX 1.4.x Tiger ??

Either you have a Leopard Install DVD, that came with your MacBook or your have bought the Leopard Retail DVD later.

Either way, you should have a Leopard DVD when you have Leopard installed on your harddisk.

When I first started my MAC it asked if I wanted to update to Leopard? I said yes, and it did. That simple. This is the only install disc I have. So I still have a question as to where I can get the install disc I need?

How do I contact Apple to get one?

Hi Ray52,

sorry if my post sounded like you use an unauthorized copy of Leopard !

This is the only install disc I have.

So you have a Leopard OSX DVD, haven't you ?

On that DVD are the BootCamp 2.0 Drivers. You only have to insert that DVD while you are in Windows and the Diver Installation begins.

The Leopard DVD should have been in the same box that your MacBook came in, together with a printed Manual and some other papers.
Look inside the box if you still have it.

If you don't have the DVD or can't find it anymore, you can contact Apple in the US by phone 1-800-MY-APPLE or for international sales choose here http://store.apple.com/us/help
