www.testmyiphone.com shows my 3G's downloads are MUCH faster than uploads..

I ran the diagnostics at www.testmyiphone.com and found that my downloads were much faster than my uploads on Edge, 3G and even WiFi. Has anyone else seen this? Why would this be the case?

MacPro 2.66, Mac OS X (10.4.10), 6 GB ram.. iLife 08 /Aperture / CS3 / LightZone

well, from what i know, downloading is always faster than uploading on any kind of network!!!

No different than my cable modem which can do 15mbps down and 764kbps up. You are going to be downloading far more data than you are going to be uploading.

Thats right your upload speed is always a fraction of what your download speed is. Do a speed test for your computers internet speeds and you'll find the same.

I get 22.43mbps down and 1.3mbps up through my home internet connection.

The phone uses HSDPA technology for downloads and standard 3G for uploads, some newer products now have HSUPA which provides faster upload speeds. For majority of users download speed is the key feature, unless you do loads of remote work and want to upload files such as photos etc...
