Can you boot without keyboard?

Is it possible to boot a headless mac mini without a keyboard/mouse connected. In case the UPS fails during an extented power outage, I want the mini to restart. I don't want to leave the keyboard connected. I use ARD to control it.

InteliMac 2.0GHz 256MB VRAM, Mac OS X (10.5), 2048 MB DRAM / 256MB VRAM / Airport Extreme (n) / Frontiernet DSL

Yes, the mini can boot happily with no keyboard connected. In fact the only time a keyboard is needed is in the initial setup when it's first out of the box or following an erase and install.

When I booted it (10.5.4) it started searching for a discoverable bluetooth device. If none found, will it continue booting? I didn't let it. I plugged the keyboard back in.
