I would recommend getting Audacity, it's a free audio editor available here.
When you do that, you can zoom in on the exact spot you want to cut it,
Highlight the region of the piece that you want to use as one of the loops,
CMND+X to cut it out of the whole peice,
CMN+N to create a new window,
CMND+V to paste the portion that you want to loop individually to the new window.
Then, you can export that one piece as an .aiff or .wav and save to your desktop or a familiar folder.
Then, right-click-->open with--> Apple Loop Utility and viola!
Repeat for each part and it should work great.
It sounds harder than it really is, but Audacity is extremely easy to use, especially for cutting pieces of audio out of a whole and exporting to useable formats. I use it in combination with ReCycle to make samples for the EXS24.
