Impact of changing iPhone name.

Has anyone changed the name of their iPhone (clicking on the iPhone name in the left pane of iTunes). Is there any impact around already downloaded applications?

12" PB, 24" iMac, and 16GB iPhone, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I have a few times.

There is no impact to any functionality at all. Its just a common name so if you have multiple devices you can tell them apart or when you hook up to a BT hands free kit you can identify what device is attached.
