all songs sound weird

I had this problem initially but it was just a case of my headphones not being connected securely enough. If it's not that then I'm stumped. Hope this might help though!!

Since 5.0.1, I am also having this problem (along with the "can't connnect IPod" issues discussed elsewhere). Itunes skips and sounds staticy (almost like an old LP), sometimes just a little bit but sometimes quite a lot, even when Itunes is the only app i have running.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and quicktime too too many times, turning off spy and virus software. I don't think it is my soundcard, which was fine; this problem started only after installing 5.0.1.

OMG, i am having the same problem. At first i thought it was my speakers but i can play songs using other players and they sound fine. I have no idea what it could be and i also tried to install/reinstall itunes but it didnt help. i hope someone can help!

I just began having the same problem. I was JUST listening to a playlist in my itunes (sounded great) and then downloaded a song and now ALL of my songs sound muffled and jarbled! I closed the file and have nothing else running and it just sounds terrible.

Does anyone have a solution?

As of 2 days ago, my tracks started sounding like they were skipping and fuzzy, like listening to a dirty and scratched LP. These same tracks played fine about 4 days ago. I did not install the iTunes update, either, because of all the warnings I read on here from people who regretted downloading it.

If anyone knows what's going on I appreciate it! I hope this is temporary!
