Wolfgang:

I hate to admit this but back in the old days when I used to spin and wanted to burn a nonstop CD with track breaks, I was forced to use a PC and a program (that I think Sony eventually took over) called "CD Architect."

I think unless people spin records and want to capture their set digitally, they have no idea of what you're talking about when you try to explain what type of CD you want to make. And depending on whether you want to set the marker as the overlay begins (think back to the spirals on vinyl that indicated the breaks, lol) or exactly at the point where the next song mixes in on the downbeat, you have the freedom to do as you choose.

I used to record 80 minutes and then take that software and insert track breaks and it would burn individual tracks to CD from within the program itself.

You could apply effects to the individual tracks or the master track as a whole and end up with a fully mastered Redbook CD with awesome quality.

I'm not sure GB is able to do this, but maybe it will be added as a feature in the future. Good luck!

There were some suggestions above, but you could also split the long region into muliple regions/songs, export each as CD-quality audio, then use a program like Toast to burn a custom CD with zero gaps and put track markers in, etc. Toast/Jam is pretty much the Mac Standard for CD Burning. You can buy it at any Apple Store, or on the net: http://www.roxio.com/enu/store/mac.html
